How it works
A disciplined path from intent to ownership — and residency.
Acquiring a Japanese company as a foreign buyer involves at least four regulated professions, two languages, and one immigration authority. Our role is to make those moving parts behave like a single process.
- 01
Readiness Assessment
We begin with a structured review of your capital, management background, sector interests, and timeline against Japan's current Business Manager visa framework. You receive a candid readiness result — including whether now is not the right time.
Outcome
A clear go / not-yet decision and a defined target profile.
- 02
Acquisition target research
We research succession-ready companies matching your profile across listing platforms, succession support networks, and our professional contacts — screening for real operations, staff, revenue, and visa-relevant substance. You receive an annotated shortlist, not a data dump.
Outcome
A shortlist of 3–8 vetted acquisition candidates with rationale.
- 03
Specialist team assembly
For your chosen direction we introduce and brief the licensed professionals the transaction legally requires: an M&A intermediary to negotiate, a certified administrative procedures legal specialist (gyoseishoshi) for the visa strategy, a judicial scrivener for corporate registration, and an accountant for diligence. Each is engaged by you directly.
Outcome
A complete, briefed deal team under a single coordinated plan.
- 04
Coordination through closing & visa preparation
We keep the process moving: sequencing diligence, tracking milestones, aligning the share transfer with visa timing, and making sure the business plan your immigration specialist files reflects the acquired company's real numbers.
Outcome
An acquisition completed in the right order for residency.
Transparency
What we do — and what we deliberately don't.
Japanese law reserves brokerage, legal representation, and immigration filings to licensed professions. Our value is independent research and coordination — which means our incentives stay aligned with yours, not with closing any particular deal.

What we do
- Research and shortlist acquisition candidates matched to your goals
- Analyze businesses for visa-relevant substance (staff, revenue, premises)
- Introduce and brief licensed specialists, and coordinate their work
- Track the end-to-end timeline from search through visa preparation
- Interpret between your objectives and Japanese business practice
What we never do
- No brokerage or mediation — price negotiation and transaction intermediation are performed by licensed M&A intermediaries you engage.
- No immigration filings — visa applications and supporting documents are prepared and submitted by certified administrative procedures legal specialists (gyoseishoshi), as required by the Certified Administrative Procedures Legal Specialist Act.
- No legal advice or documents — contracts and legal opinions come from attorneys, per Article 72 of the Attorney Act.
- No guaranteed outcomes — residency decisions rest solely with the Immigration Services Agency of Japan.
