Legal notice — scope of our service
Move to Japan Advisory (operated by Tenbou Works, Tokyo, Japan) is an independent research and coordination service. We are not a licensed real estate broker (takken), M&A intermediary, certified administrative procedures legal specialist (gyoseishoshi), attorney (bengoshi), or certified tax accountant (zeirishi), and we do not perform services reserved to those licensed professions under Japanese law.
Specifically, we do not:
- negotiate, mediate, or broker business or real estate transactions;
- prepare or submit immigration applications or supporting documents;
- draft contracts or other legal documents, or provide legal advice;
- provide tax, accounting, investment, or financial advice;
- guarantee any immigration or transaction outcome.
All regulated services are performed by independent licensed Japanese professionals whom you engage and pay directly. Immigration outcomes are decided solely by the Immigration Services Agency of Japan. Business profiles shown on this site are illustrative market examples, not brokered offers, and figures shown (prices, capital requirements, cost estimates) are indicative only.
Terms of service
By using this website or our services, you agree to the following terms.
- Informational content. All content on this website — including articles, guides, calculators, the eligibility check, and business profiles — is general information, not legal, tax, immigration, investment, or financial advice, and is not a substitute for advice from licensed professionals about your specific situation.
- No guarantee. Visa eligibility assessments, scores, and cost estimates produced by this website are indicative tools based on publicly available criteria. They do not predict or guarantee any decision by Japanese authorities, banks, or counterparties.
- Engagement of specialists. Licensed professionals introduced through our coordination are engaged by you directly under their own terms. We are not a party to those engagements and accept no liability for their services.
- Fees. Our coordination fees are agreed in writing before any engagement begins. We are compensated solely by our clients and do not receive referral commissions from sellers or listed businesses.
- Limitation of liability. To the maximum extent permitted by Japanese law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from the use of this website or from decisions made in reliance on its content.
- Intellectual property. The content, design, and branding of this website may not be reproduced without permission.
- Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court.
Privacy policy
We collect only the personal information needed to respond to your inquiries and coordinate your engagement, in accordance with Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information (APPI).
- What we collect. Name, email address, and the information you voluntarily provide through the eligibility check, contact form, or email — such as budget range, management experience, timeline, nationality, and target preferences.
- Why we collect it. To assess your readiness, respond to your inquiry, prepare for consultation calls, and — with your consent — introduce you to relevant licensed professionals.
- Sharing. We never sell your data. We share it only with licensed professionals involved in your engagement (with your prior consent) or where required by law.
- Analytics. This website uses privacy-conscious page analytics to understand aggregate usage. We do not use advertising trackers.
- Your rights. You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information at any time by contacting info@tenbouworks.jp.
Data handling & retention
- Eligibility check and contact form submissions are stored in an encrypted, access-controlled database hosted on managed cloud infrastructure. Access is restricted to the service operator.
- Data is transmitted over HTTPS/TLS. We do not store payment card information on this website.
- Lead records are retained while relevant to a current or prospective engagement, and deleted upon verified request or when no longer needed.
- If a data incident affecting your personal information occurs, we will notify affected individuals and authorities as required by the APPI.
Specialist selection policy
The value of coordination depends on the quality and independence of the professionals involved. Our selection policy:
- Verified credentials. We introduce only professionals whose registrations we have confirmed — gyoseishoshi (certified administrative procedures legal specialists) registered with their prefectural association, attorneys registered with a bar association, tax accountants (zeirishi), judicial scriveners, and M&A intermediaries operating under Japan's SME M&A guidelines.
- Relevant track record. Priority is given to professionals with demonstrated experience in cross-border acquisitions and Business Manager visa cases, and the ability to work in English where needed.
- No kickbacks. We accept no referral commissions from professionals or sellers. Our only client is you, which keeps our introductions unbiased.
- Direct engagement. You contract with each professional directly, receive their terms and fees in writing, and remain free to substitute any professional of your own choosing at any point.
